Branding & Mood
Our team, named Tasty Noodles after our first meeting at Tasty Noodle House, decided on a noodle theme for our site and for our team as a whole. as the lead designer of the team, I curated a color palette, logo, and branding sheet to build our team's identity and guide our visual design going forwards.
the red and gold color palette was inspired by Chinese culture due to our team's origin at the Chinese restaurant Tasty Noodle House. in Chinese culture, red and gold are deemed elegant and lucky.
the logo (top left on branding sheet) was entirely drawn by me using Procreate. it pictures a bowl where our team name is spelled out with noodles.
the fonts and icons were designed and chosen with a wavy theme, taking from the flexible and shapeless nature of noodles and steam.
the branding overall has a bold and cartooon-ish theme, aiming to seem fun and lighthearted for our users.
Team Introduction Video
To introduce our team, I was tasked with creating a basic introduction video for our team members. I created the graphics/animations and edited this video from scratch using Procreate and Adobe Premiere Pro. As a result, our video was chosen out of many teams to be shown to the whole class during lecture.
